  • The huge labyrinth city, Orario, is the gateway to the huge underground maze commonly known as the “Dungeon”. Its strange name causes excitement, a place to gain honor, and maybe even a romance with a pretty girl. A place where people hold their breath, hoping to gain all they wish for, a place where a solitary young man meets a little "god". "Alright, Bell-kun, follow me! It's time for the "Familiar" initiation rite to happen!" "Yes! I'm going to get stronger!" The fated meeting of a boy who wants to become an adventurer, and the failed god who doesn't even have a single follower. This boy's journey as written by the goddess, "Family's Legend" (Familiar's Myth).

Sword Oratoria sucks. How come no one is updating the main story? Did the author give up on it?

yeah but the way this is written…  this is a bad type of female author.  its bad how she acts towards her male mc.  and its bad how it takes years to get nowhere also.  and also if he defeated that it should be more than enough to go up a level if not several levels!  imagine the xp!

@ kjyt   This feels trollish, but w/e I’ll bite anyhow.
Earlier chapters already established levels are gained by deeds, not kills. And that is further rated by a group of characters that may or may not be biased, not systematic and absolute. There is no system to game.
I’ve enjoyed watching the author merge myths and legends with isekai conventions. Its a method that really hooked me.
As to mc personailty that feels, to me, like a combination of what readers like to read as well as the author’s familiarity with the character traits. Never found that character type off-putting. There are some like-able traits mixed in for me.

Second season of “Gate - Thus the JSDF Fought” is ahead of the manga too.

Quite a few anime overcome the manga. Everything from bleach to naruto to Fary Tail to hellsing and Full metal Alchemist. Bleach and Naruto and Fary tail overcome this by having filler arcs. Hellsing, Full metal and other do it by the directors more or less making up new endings. Sometime with the manga wrighters input. Sometimes not. Some get entire new series to do it right.

In this case, the manga isn’t the source material, it’s the LN. The manga for this, as well as Gate, were made after the fact. As such, the anime adaptation went above and beyond what’s covered in the manga.

You guys are forgetting that Danmachi is a LIGHT NOVEL. The manga is based off of it, and the anime is based off the light novel not the manga. The novel itself is waaaaay ahead. Its the same thing with “Gate - Thus the JSDF Fought”. The manga and anime are based on its LIGHT NOVEL. Their stories are ahead of the manga. Now that you know this, anime directors are not writing new materials/endings for the anime, they have all the material they need from their respective LIGHT NOVELS. They’re again, following the LIGHT NOVELS not the manga. Dont make stuff up people, get your facts straight. Do research. (Also read the Light Novels. They’re better)

All translations were taken down when it was announced that there would be an english release, so afraid, you’ll just have to buy the books.

The L.N. is licenced, so it’s not something that will be translated by random translators and put on net. But 5 or so of the books have been finished translated, and are for sale.
Side note - it’s one of the few L.N. that have been translated whit a offical licence before the anime acctualy came out.

What is “LN”?  I also wonder how the anime is ahead of the manga.  That seems backwards to me. Doesn’t the Manga come before the Anime?  Otherwise, what’s the point?

LN is Light Novel. A lot of these projects start as books and then go on to become Manga/manhwa/manhua, and anime, and since the anime proceeds at such a fast pace, it is not uncommon for them to overtake the comic.

To be fair, the anime skipped through all 6 books very quickly, since the manga is following the LN, it’s not going to catch up for a long time, bu you will get more story :)

A second anime season would be very unlikely given the first season covers the first 6 LN’s and there are only 8 Ln’s released so far.
