wth is up with a whole chapter being dedicated to a history lesson on the Japanese version of Bonnie and Clyde? And why does everyone try to make it such a romantic story? It isn’t. They were both violent criminals who killed other people, not in the name of love, but for their own selfishness. They were sociopaths, not romantics. They probably could have given 2 censoreds about each other, they just simply used each other to further their agenda. I mean its an interesting story of a man and woman committing vicious crimes together, but thats about it. Its a tragic story all-around, not a romance. People just love to have vivid imaginations and envision them having great sex all the time and a ton of romance.. Yeah, that probably wasnt the case lol

Totally agree.. Bonnie and Clyde is not actually a romantic story. It is a brutal tragedy of 2 selfish killers. But of course, it became the story criminals fell in love with and a way to justify their criminal behavior with making it seem like they acted this way due to love. Just another way for humans to delude themselves and justify their actions. More than anything, it is an interesting and entertaining story. They got what they deserved. In my opinion there is nothing romantic about having to look over your shoulder all the time in paranoia. Witnesses say Bonnie and Clyde actually had a very tumultuous relationship and constantly fought and beat each other. Then of course they were pumped full of lead. Far from romance if you ask me.

I really liked this at start, and i am leaving a positive rating, but imho story progression is too slow, and the char development has stopped for too long, hence i am sadly dropping this.

It’s just the weirdest thing sometimes. All of a sudden 20 downvotes appear on comments. I’ve noticed it recently, there’s probably some way to register a large amount of downvotes. It doesn’t really matter for anything though.

This series is quickly on its way to becoming one of my favorites.

I simply cannot wait for the translation crew to catch up to the RAWs, and am simply elated that for once, a series that I enjoy is a weekly release instead of monthly. So many good series are monthly these days >_<

The life lesson of Chapter 10?

Let’s see… there was running from a bear is stupid, always double tap a bear in the head since one shot doesn’t always do it, bears are tough, bears love Sugimoto, and the Ainu like raw food…

      I feel enlightened…

This series is about a realistic human being with the luck and vitality of 10 men. His feats are not that of an OP character, but one of a major combination of luck, talent, experience, and another dose of luck. With the first two chapters, we find ourselves in a situation where the MC requires money, however, in this scenario our Protag is out for the money for noble reasons. A definite plus over the greedy protag tendencies we see these days.

The story also offers a rather intriguing twist as it throws us a fair amount of historical knowledge on the Ainu peoples. (Basically the northern region of modern Japan [Hokkaido]. The Japanese conquered them and almost completely wiped out in the modern year, ~20,000-30,000 in the official registry)

Another major plus is the main goal of the series, gold. Now who doesn’t like an action-adventure about hunting gold? Why else did the American show ‘Gold Rush’ get so popular…

At any rate, this series is not fresh, there are 4 volumes of untranslated chapters as of right now. I’ve researched it and the series appears to be releasing in the Weekly Young Jump, meaning that we’re going to be getting this once a week! Huzzah!

All in all, it may be a bit early to throw down a rating, but i’ve taken a peak at the RAWs and I’ll put this manga at a temporary [8.5/10] and will review it again once we get up to date.
