    Agreed with Jon below me. The MC could kill a random street cat and he would somehow find some OP legendary weapon or ability no one has seen before. I mean, look at the latest chapter (142 when writing this mini rant). He kills some stuff and somehow encounters, and I quote: “THE ABSOLUTELY RARE STARLIGHT SAINT BEAST THAT HAS BEEN LOST FOR BILLIONS OF YEARS”. You read that right. Lost for billions of years, and he just finds it like it’s nothing. Also, that thing is just an overgrown snail but I digress. The point I’m trying to make here is that the MC (and his group of strangely overpowered friends) have more luck/plot armor than a homeless guy finding a billion dollars underneath a bridge

    Really wish they didn’t rush with the manhua there’s so many details that add a looot of depth to the characters. Still nice to see the everyone drawn and managed to make the abilities look awesome though!

    Series might have some nice coloring and decent character art, but for the most part it sucks as a whole. In my honest opinion, it is a disgrace to the Novel and is pretty much a Shoujo series anymore. There is no flow at all and it just jumps from scene to scene with no real explanations. Everything is vague and the dialogue is bad. It is very hard to follow unless you know the story from the Novel. I pity the people who have not read the Novel and are trying to follow this logically lol.. I had pretty high expectations of this after I read the Novel, but this is probably the farthest thing I could have expected or imagined the comic being like. They sold out to the publishers and made it a fan-servicey Shoujo to attract a female audience. SMH..

    @Adlerprime: i think the author want to give mc other stuff to do, other possible choices are in the air. If we go backward a bit, you’ll find some interesting comments giving you hints. the demon lord talks about his successor after sensing the MC (and his pet), the moonlight princess feel the MC has a demonic aura, like those ‘important, leading people” hinting more. And now the cave with this evil inheritance. All there to give us the idea the MC could choose another path instead of the virtuous one he’s using now. So, it’s normal to see a bit of chaos in the middle. In my personal idea, the MC could use the evil inheritance to lead the war at an end. This way the demon lord would be defeated and, ironically enough, the MC would became the new lord. Or not, we don’t know it. But the idea is pretty cliché, the author could do it, even for a brief time. We can only wait for the new chapters and enjoy it all.

      i have no clue of his other comments on other series or what so ever and i don´t give a crap about it, but on this one i have to agree with him ,
      this manwhau is pretty damn bad!
      -the conversations and lines are damn cheesy
      -the plot is all over the place starting around chapter 90 onwards
      -transitions between chapters are getting worse and worse
      i mean what the fuck is even going on in the latest 10 chapters
      the author suddenly just stopt explaining things at all, like it shows some demon here some person there suddenly a cave with strange sounds out of nowhere

      i have to admit tho the start was rather decent, but its getting worse with every chapter coming out right now

    This has gotten so bad that it isn’t even readable anymore. The artist no spends so much time on Hao Chens hair, face and clothing that the whole environment is neglected. The fighting scenes are trash now. They never let you envision the whole fight scene and it just lacks detail and background. I truly enjoyed the art and story from the beginning much more. Now I feel like I am reading a Wuxia that thinks its a Shoujo….smh

    You forgot to add the most important genre to the category, Cheesy Romance. If you’re into ladyboys and romance that 12 year old little girls would cry over then this is the perfect manhua for you. I wonder about these Chinese manhua writers.       RAW 90+ are divided ones. that means so much the raws from aq.cc (example) should be by chapter 45.

      I would say we are not bad. Before I did the remake we were by chapter 40 and the raws were out by 70. 30 chapter difference.

    Been pretty disappointed with this series as of late.. Things are starting to feel really vague and hollow, maybe due to the skipping around and lack of personality of many of the characters.. It is also using way too much Shoujo-style fanservice which is really annoying for Wuxia genre series. I dunno, can’t say I am hating it, but I must say I really liked it in the beginning and now I find myself slowly starting to lose interest. The battle scenes aren’t even great and are kinda jumbled. Just my opinion. Nothing against anyone who feels differently, just how I feel about it so far.

      Same plot but like someone said, there’s a lot of details that’s been omitted so it seems extremely rushed. If you’re reading it entirely for the action then it’s okay but if you’re the type that pays attention to little details or like knowing how the story’s events or mechanics (abilities) work then the manga doesn’t do the LN justice and seems really convoluted.

    So I’ve been sitting quiet for a while now, but IMO some of the ways the manga “simplified” the story (or maybe its just a loss of translation?) is really awkward and hard to comprehend (even for me, who read the novel).

    Here are things the manga omitted, that are highlighted in the novel… (I’ll try to omit anything that might come back later)

    [[ This is optional information; read if you’re confused by latest chapters ]]

    Ch. 82, The master / servant-knight innate spiritual power has the following formula: if master has higher then subtract servant knight, divide by 2 and add to servant knight, this is why he can calculate exactly Haochen’s level is 97 and why his teacher didnt increase as much as Han Yu. Incidentally every 10 levels is very significant, so Han Yu reaching 80 is very important.

    Note: innate =/= inner =/= outer; innate is basically the talent level. Bigger number makes it easier to get really high inner energy (think of it as the difference between character level vs their mana bar). Certain levels are also required for certain breakthoughs (hence why haochen’s teacher is stuck). Outer is just extra you level up before you go all-in into inner energy, don’t believe it’s that relevant from this point onward. This should have been mentioned already during the previous battles but just in case it wasn’t, different stages have breakthoughs, each breakthough things happen, for example Han Yu and all rank 5 knights/priests/etc have liquid spiritual energy (instead of vapor).

    In Ch. 82, the head there says “a master knight is best suited to 2 cortage knights”, in the novel this is explained as more then 2 would cause a strain on Haochen’s development.

    Page 23, In the armory part, it’s not mentioned in manga, and I won’t go into too much detail, but to give some clarity on what the heck is happening in those scenes (a) the one on the left is not a knight but someone from the Assassin Temple and both of the guards are super high ranked (b) the guy who leads Haochen in is a bit angry with him since, as a member of the assassin temple, he doesn’t approve of him (a knight of the knights temple) going out with their “princess” sort to speak.

    Page 24, The armory is not just the knight template armory but the armoy of all the temples each door you see on the top left is a gateway to each temple’s armory, and the person inside the space has to approve the outsider to enter (the guard in question merely lead Haochen there). Incidentally the one who’s the master of the Knights Temple armory who Haochen discusses a bit, is actually the father of the knight Haochen lost to, which Cai’er subsequently assaulted, and one of the pillars of the Knight Temple, a divine knight—a great part of the reason the assassin temple guard didnt like Haochen there was because this had caused a huge ruckus and had to be settled though some bitter negotiation (you see him return in Chapter 84, page 11—but probably just because the author wanted to reuse assets to represent the assassin temple people, lol).

    Incidentally in this scene the guy there is just meant to be a random assassin guild member (rank 8ish) but in the manga this appears to be changed to where that guy’s meant to be the head of the assassin temple (suggested to be so by page 7 of chapter 85 as well as page 15 and a bunch of others), it sure doesn’t make much sense though (doesn’t match character description, temperament, context, etc… one of the most important traits of all assassin temple people is they ALL hide their faces 99% of the time). I believe the comment he throws out when he kicks Haochen into the vault is also probably suppose to refer to the beginning when meats mute Cai’er. This change to make that random guard be the head is unnecessarily confusing and nonsensical IMO but whatever…

    Note: the novel fleshes out the heads of the various temples; the manga seems to try really hard to skip their characterization and character entirely which results in a lot of confusion since the banter of the heads of the temples is actually where a lot of the world building and situation description takes place, oops? :)

    Ch. 83, So the first page there is actually a super confusing (IMO) condensation of something that happens on what’s technically 2 chapters maybe. Here’s a hopefully less confusing version of what you need to know: During the negotiations between the assassin temple and the knights temple, the assassin temple manage to persuade the knight temple from not tacking action (the offence couldn’t excuse even a genius 80 innate spiritual energy) by exposing how (a) Cai’er is a genius, which I won’t go into and (b) that they’ve invested a lot of their most powerful “tools” into Cai’er.

    So, going back to Haochen, the Knights Templete decide to give Haochen a similar treatment and allow him to try to master an extremely powerful sword. After getting some pointers from the guardian of the vault (as well as the description of how the vault, similar to the beast mountain array, was built by elfs and can’t be recreated) Haochen faces some basic travel trials and subsequently challenges the sword for the right to wield it… In the sword trial he fights himself. The method he uses to defeat himself is probably too complicated to explain visually but I won’t go into it in case its brought up later. All you need to know about the sword is this: it’s a sword that grows in power with it’s wielder, it’s composed of a blue rain part (the grip) and a light part (the sword). It’s so powerful that It’s so powerful it has a will of its own and accepts its own master and its so hard to master Haochen is the first person in history to get accepted by it.

    Page 5. During the servant knight ordeal the head, Han Yu’s grandfather, becomes the teacher of Haochen’s teacher, and as such Haochen’s teacher. He receives the armor from Han Yu’s grandfather, not his teacher (who is too poor to get that for him). Also, that armor is just normal and is a replacement to his normal armor, which if the manga didn’t, skimp 10 or so battles, you would know is non-existent anymore. Basically, by this point, Haochen broke his shield, sword (mostly), got a new shield which he broke almost instantly, and as far as everything else goes he’s more or less “naked” armor wise. The new armor he got is a bit sturdier then his previous armor and has the advantage of prividing a aoe support ability when all of it’s pieces are used together. But note, its extremely average “special” armor.

    Page 12. Li Xin is the one to concede to Haochen.

    Page 14. The visuals makes it really hard to tell what Cai’er’s strenght manifests as. Here’s a summary: her little harmless bamboo stick is a weapon of mass assassination! You can see it in her hand on the page, although in the novel Cai’er doesn’t really do those poses (or maybe I just never read it like that).

    Chapter 84, Page 3, Because they omitted the entire characterization of the heads of the temples, you don’t really get the scene where the Knight Temple head, by random selection, selects members of his own temple to fight each other (awkward moment). To clarify the imagery at the bottom, the random selection works by distributing lights to each individual, who you fight against is determined by color (same color, you fight), and the ones that are shinier fight earlier.

    Page 4, Haochen isn’t actually an ass towards Hwang Yi there. He actually asked Cai’er (the blind girl!) before that scene at the top who her opponent was. After Cai’er informs him, on spot, she doesn’t know because she can’t see (lol), he then goes into super helpful mode to make up for his stupidity.

    I forget if Hwang Yi fight again Haochen is even showed; he’s basically a powerful earth mage who can turn entire areanas into a earthquake sea. He’s powerful enough Haochen had to call Hao Yue to stand a chance against him. He’s also the first person that’s introduced to have a fairy help him and also use dual chanting. So not too important. Oh yea, Hao Yue almost eats the fairy and this is also the part where we find out his 3rd head of Hao Yue is wind elemental head (he can use it to float, speed up, etc). The 3rd head is from the time Hao Yue went to his own world to evolve after swallowing the dragon egg (was that ever clarified?). It’s also the time when Hao Chen fights a whole skeleton army, beats a necromancer and barely escapes with Hao Yue by the skin of his teeth (oh ya and Hao Yue is suppose to have 2 bulges now, but he looks cooler with out them so whatever). In Chapter 83, page 7 you’ll notice Haochen tell his Lin Xi how Lin Xin’s medicine was very helpful to him, this is not because of the training pills but because of the medicine that replenishes energy which he had to use to beat the army of the necromancer when he was protecting Hao Yue. It’s not very clearly stated but essentially the world Hao Yue comes from is almost devoid of light, to the point Haochen had to use the bracelet just to survive there much less fight the skeletal army.

    Page 5 to 8. This battle is so confusing in the manga. The guy in question is a summoner. He summons a Leopard and rides it trying to outrun Haochen while casting a very very powerful summon spell. Haochen calls Hao Yue and chases after them, and eventually beats him barely in the nick of time before the summon fully finishes. The summon was a Rank 9 Pheonix (if I remember), just for reference Haochen is just Rank 4 now. The move he uses at the end is called Holy Sword, it’s extremely costly damage skill with temporary effect. Honestly the finer details of Haochen’s tactics are nonexistent in the manga.

    Page 12, in the novel Yang is actually super salty that the knight temple actually gave a blind eye to Cai’er’s antics (that lil’ assassination attempt after he beat up Haochen). He’s also “scared” in a way of her—mostly in the sense of not wanting to face her.

    Page 16, Duan summons his mount (won’t spoil what it is, since it may come in later) before admitting defeat. He’s not too much weaker then Yang.

    Page 20, completely manga original? (or my memory is bad)

    Chapter 85. Mostly on point. Except… the author omitted how Haochen has been cultivating using the pills from Bro-has-drugs and managed to power up quite considerably. Including managing to produce liquid spiritual energy and entering the 5th step.

    ....this not a manga,  it’s a manhua, manga is jap(reading right to left), while manhua Chinese/korean(reading left to right). Also most mangas/manhuas are based on Web novels/light novels etc… and the shen yin Wang zuo novel has over 1000 chapters, most Chinese Web novels are like this….and honestly who would want make detailed manhua based on 1000++ chapters,  heck if it were me I’d rush the manhua scenes and plot speed, so I don’t blame them for making crappy/rushed/detailess/etc manhuas, I’m just reading this for the pics, read the novel if you want better pacing, if you cant read Chinese. ...welcome to the club, I’m waiting on the English translations, there on ch 257(800++left to translate) as of now, ask google-sensei where….

    I think it would have been a very good manga, but the author failed considerable by summarising the epic parts of the manga (his training with his father,completing the tasks set by his father, his defensive training, his advancement in levels, Hao Yu’s epic entrance when he was in trouble and the crowd’s reaction) and talking continuously about the useless stuff ...     Man you guys are sure picky. If you guys are not satisfied with the work, why not translate it yourself?
    The Translator are trying their best to translate the story for you guys.
    @Shiro The Translator of Chapter 82 (well in our case 44) read the LN that’s why he thought on picking 8 Lin Qi. (It’s changed to 9 Lin Qi though after our reupload)
    @Wolfus The Story of manhua seems to lead off from LN. Most things are not explained and a part of the story left out.

    What is a Cortege Knight? It’s the same like Retainer Knight, but I don’t know why the TL used the french word “Cortege”. Maybe It’ll be changed.

    There is something bothering me, i watched this manhwa again and in the chapter 36 “Fate” they say that hao chen’s teacher got 9 of inner spiritual energy and in the last one (82) they say 8 so i’m a little confused, just wanted to know if it was a mistake or something .

      bourne it’s actually quite simple. ((97-63)/2==17)+63=80
      ((97-8)/2==44[drop the .5])+8=52
      ie, the blood contract does not affect hao chen’s level but it raises the level of his subordinates by half the difference. This is all explained in LN :)

      Because I compared it to the original source at demonicscans.com and theirs was 3 pages longer. They have already fixed it though. If you look at the relese dates you’ll notice chapter 80 was re-uploaded an hour after my original comment.

    Yeah so can you guys fix the chapters for this? The chapters demonic scans was getting previously were the chapters split in half so they reworked their scans so all the chapters are now 42 whole chapters instead of 80.

      No. Shen Yin is a lot chapters behind normal release of RAWs( newest raw is ch 60 so according to numeration here it will be 120 because here we have half-chapters). HQ raws are on break.
      Ongoing are only Soul Land and BTTH.

    Do the chapter titles eventually cease to spoil the cliff hangers and events within the chapter? Could something be done to move the credits page which contains the chapter title to the end of the chapter? Have a look at chapter 19 and 40 as examples of the whole point of a chapter being ruined by the chapter title. I’m really enjoying reading this, and it’s a shame that something so negligible is ruining it for me and any other new readers.

      It’s not psycho nor weird, it’s called ‘romance’ which sadly doesn’t exist in this generation anymore. It’s for ‘gentlemen’ and ‘ladies’. Apparently, you’re not a gentleman nor you have a potential to be in your lifetime if you can’t even understand this. It’s a lot better than today’s culture where couple divorce left and right, and when you could just bang a girl by paying 10 bucks.

      Blah Blah I am sick of people trashing a manhua and worshipping a LN.  They are different forms of media so expect a different form of story.  A manhua can’t fit everything into the story otherwise it will drag and lose readers.  Including a long history in anything is the sign of a crap story which bogs it down.  If I wanted to read a book, I would read an 800 page novel instead of something at the reading level of a 5 year old.

Seriously, I’ve seen you rag on this, Soul Land and from time to time, Battle Through the Heavens. Though, to be fair, you’re complaints are valid at points, but keep in mind, the manhua and the LN are two separate things. They’re two separate mediums with their own way of conveying information. If you enjoy the LN, good for you. Some of us enjoy the Manhuas. No one’s right, no one’s wrong, but venting your frustrations where everyone can see them isn’t helping anyone.       @falconnipples Every profession has 9 levels of power. each level has 9 sub levels that must be filled before even think about jumping a new level.
      Long Hao Chen is a knight from the 4 rank (level) and 9 step (sub level).
      Each level has its own name that depends of the profession, for knights of the 4 rank are called “Grand Knights”
