(1)Minerva is related to Norman(father’s?), or
(2)Norman in the future are able to “back” to human world but the side affect is that there will be a time dilation when people do the trip between worlds thus the age difference, or
(3)There are a lot of Norman due to (1) Ratris want to clone Minerva for a certain purpose

well, looks like the Author decided to use a random piece of hair with some kind of thread around it to cover the ear. I knew he would have to address it sooner or later, but that piece of hair just looks out of place lol

I wonder how the Author is gonna handle her ear.. That bandage has already been on an awfully long time. Does he just have her go earless? Does he have the hair cover it? Or does he just say “screw it” and just put the ear back on and hope the readers overlook it? lol.. I actually thought they had both cut their ears off, but the dudes ear seems normal after taking the bandage off. I forget whether or not we saw 1 or 2 ears laying on the ground when they escaped, but I know for dang sure there was at least 1 full ear on the ground!

A little bit ridiculous and unrealistic, but a pretty good idea for a story and overall its pretty good. Not bad for a Shonen about kids. I hope they all get older and grow up. Because a bunch of 5-12 year olds fighting a whole race of Demons would be a bit absurd lol

    • Kami-sama 1 Year, 4 Months ago

Really? I thought that the premise was really well thought out, much better than the majority of mangas. This is more of a mystery/ psychological/ thriller than an action based manga. I would expect that rather than physical fights between the kids and the demons they would be more intellectual based.

I just said i liked the story and it is a good idea.. But you have to admit, the idea of little kids overtaking a world or demons and beasts using only intelligence is, like I said above, a bit ridiculous and unrealistic. Never said it wasn’t well thought out, and i specifically said it is good for a Shonen about children. For me though, it is just a bit unbelievable for little children to have the maturity level and intelligence, regardless of how much of a genius they are, that they can overcome a world of demons and beasts. This is why I said I hope for a time-skip so they can grow up and mature a bit. This would make an encounter where they have to fight the demons more believable and realistic. I mean come on, just think about it. Throw out a couple 10 year olds into the human would alone and just think how dangerous and hard it would be for them to survive. Even if they were incredibly smart and mature for their age, they would never be able to overcome their handicap of their size and gullible nature. This is a comic tho, and I understand this, which is why I think it is still really good regardless of its seemingly unrealistic nature and still much better than most Shonen.

you would actually be surprised at how fast kids mature when faced with imminent danger as well as a sense of duty to take care of those younger than them such as siblings. childrens’ minds are still very malleable at that age and more creative allowing them to come up with more solutions (creative solutions) than many adults. combine that with a prodigy like mind and yeah you’d have a little beast capable of getting out of any situation, rare but realistic given the fact they were specifically bred to be like that (the beat of intellectual humanity)

    • Mike 1 Year, 1 Month ago

@C-chan.. if that were the case we’d see a ton of angry little kiddie mobs in Africa and India.. It just doesnt happen man.. I know people are trying to defend this series as they like it… I do to.. But I am not attacking this series, I am just making an unbiased observation about the unrealistic nature of the plot of little children defeating a world of demon beasts. It is obviously unrealistic, but that is okay, it is a comic. It does not matter how much of a genius a child is or if they are forced into tough situations. They are still children. They are incapable of competing with adults, let alone demon monsters lol.. How many times have your heard of a 10 year old defeating a pedophile? Yeah, it doesnt happen lol. All the poor kids in Africa, India and China would not be starving or struggling to survive if things like you describe are possible. Children can be very smart, but they are still children man.

I just thought about it: what if it’s all still Mama’s play and what she actually trying to do is to train kids to escape with her in the end.
Just think about it: to become Mama you have to be supersmart (perfect score at least) and Isabella went far beyond that (youngest Mom in history), but we simply don’t know how far cause max score is only 300.
What if when Conny departed she left Bernie on the table on purpose to lure our Emma and Norman to the gates tell them the truth in such indirect way? Because with her attention to details there’s no way she’d let Conny go without Bernie.
Then she start gaving hints to Emma and Norman. This was actually to tell them about hidden traps and make them prepare for that, otherwise she wouldn’t be able to take care of all transmitters and kids by herself. She gradually fed them new and new pieces of information to raise their level and making sure they’re ready to face demons.
Now, if she really wanted she’d ship those three already or gave them so many ccensoreds that they wouldn’t have time for anything else up to shipment date. Instead she let them run freely and train to their uttermost.
In this scope inviting Krone makes perfect sense. Mama already figured out her personality which makes Krone predictable. Krone’s goals are also obvious. And Krone’s role in Mama’s plans is a scapegoat (who’s digging her grave btw). When Mama told Krone she’ll make her into next Mama she actually meant that. The only thing Krone will be new mama whose orphanage ran away and she’ll be the one to blame. And it will look like it’s all Krone’s fault for letting children escape.

Why she’s not training kids in open? Why such indirect ways? Because she knows one or few kids are demon spies, so she has to be extra careful. She has to make it look like children are training by themselves and she’s still loyal to the system.

I think what we’ll see in the final chapters is that Mama leading kids escape and possibly revolting against the system/demons. I won’t be surprised if she already knows their weak spot :)

Yeah, I know, you can say that she’s a cruel lady that led so many kids to their death and thinks only about own survival, but then think about it: Mama is very good at chess. And what she did all the time was feeding low-level pawns to the enemy while moving queen and other best figures into attack formation unnoticed by the enemy. It as all part of her plan from the very beginning. And kids unknowingly following their roles in it exactly as Mama wanted them to.

apparently noramn told gilda and don another location. but told ray and emma the two locations mentioned in the manga. so when one of the two locations was located he knew the spy is either ray or emma. and by talking to emma he eliminated the chance of emma being a spy. so that only leaves ray as the spy. shocking!! so looking forward for the next chapter
